Amish Community Rebuilds Garage for Couple Who Returned Missing Girls

  • Text size: + -

RICHVILLE, N.Y. -- The Amish family who saw their little girls return home safely two weeks ago is now returning the favor to the couple who rescued them.

The family and more than two dozen Amish community members spent Friday in Richville, building a new garage for Pam and Jeff Stinson.

A recent fire burned the couple's garage while they were on vacation.

Back on Aug. 14, the Stinsons took in the Amish sisters, then drove them home, after the sisters were dropped off by their alleged abductors in Richville.

By lunchtime the Amish had already made great progress. Neighbors and friends of the couple also pitched in to help with construction.
